A little about Brenda
I’m Brenda Davis Harsham. I live in New England with my fantastic husband and three story-telling children, where we are surrounded by music, gardens and magic. New stories unfold around me all the time, and sometimes I’m lucky enough to write them down. The world is full of possibility and wonder. I’m inspired by nature, my kids, friends, storms, coincidences, art, magic and memories. I’ve been telling stories for as long as I can remember. I’m delighted to share my fairy tales with you here.
This site is for kids of all ages, and it’s safe for all. Welcome and I hope you like the stories. You can find friendly fairy tales with many different magical elements. I’ll be posting at least a of couple stories a month and weekly poetry. I post only kid-friendly, toddler-friendly stories, and I hope you will encourage kids to read them. They are listed on the Story Contents page with links to the stories. I also publish poetry, listed on the Poetry Contents page.
I will publish occasional fairy tales written by kids, but I am not collecting unsolicited manuscripts at this time. The first was published August 19, 2013. They are published under the By&4Kids group, just click here or on the side bar. Only the Author’s first name and last initial will be given. I may consider publishing fairy tales by other writers in future. If you are interested in submitting stories, please comment or contact me. Your privacy will be respected, and no information will be collected and sold for commercial purposes by friendlyfairytales or me.
Brenda writes, besides fantasy stories you can find right HERE, also great poetry!
One of my favorites is this one:
Golden Path
–
Leaf
Falling,
Citrine dream.
Windy swirling,
Gold honey blizzard,
Swirls of a fairy’s cloak.
Restless spirits soar higher
With each dancing leaf falling down
To the shifting, shadowy hemline.
Surfeit of beauty looking at fall’s gown.
