Dragon Adventure Update: Cover Reveal!

Hey everyone!

This week I have made great progress with my dragon adventure 🙂 I am done formatting and the cover is finished as well. Yesterday, I ordered a proof copy of the paperback that will arrive next week so I can check out how the book will look and feel. Exciting! 🙂 And because the cover is done, I can finally show you how the English version of An Unbreakable Bond will look like. So, here it is:

If everything goes well, he paperback and e-book will be available this July!

A Drägan Duma song!

Hey everyone! 

Long time, no see! It’s been a while since I posted here, I have been very busy with everything involving my books.

But now I am on vacation and I wanted to share something awesome with you guys. Not only have I published 2 new books in the last 2 months, there is also a song that has been made for my first book series! How cool is that? 🙂

I don’t think that many authors are so lucky that such talented people from around the globe make a song about their books, so I am one happy, lucky writer!

Also, the song is in English, so you can all understand it 🙂 I hope you will enjoy it.

New site, book-trailer, Facebook and Instagram!

Hey guys!

Long time, no post! 😉 

Sorry about that, I missed you too!

I have been a busy little bee lately. Published a new novel, went to signing sessions and events to promote my books AND I finally had the time to make an English version of the book trailer, Facebook and translate a piece of my book site to English! Yay! 🙂 

Why? Well, we hope that the books of my fantasy series eventually will be translated so you can read them too. So, that’s what I am working on now. That, and writing new books of course 😉

Amazing Artists

 A lot of people are involved with the publication of a book. Not just a writer, but also beta readers, editors and a publisher.

 And then there is a person who always gets way too less credit for his work. The cover artist.

 

You may think that it’s hard to write a story and paint pictures from your mind and soul for the people who read your story.

Well, how about trying to visualize something from someone else’s mind while also bringing your own heart into it! Because that’s what a cover artist does.

And while writers can use 200, 300, 400 pages to tell the story, a cover artist has to do it with just one single picture.

 

 I got lucky, because I have the privilege to work with an amazing artist whose work I truly adore.

 Meet the man responsible for the awesome covers of the Drägan Duma novels:

 

 Dominik Broniek

About 70% of my readers buy my books because of the covers.

Luckily, most of them also like the stories 😉

But the fact remains that Dominik’s artwork is the main reason why people buy my books.

It’s the first thing they see and only because of the beauty of the covers, they pick it up and read the back to see what the book is about.

 

Sometimes I worry a bit when I pitch an idea for a cover. After all, it’s in my head and that’s kinda hard to show to someone else. But then I remember: “Silly me, I work with Dominik!” 🙂

And he gets it right every time.

So, I want to thank this amazing artist who does one of the toughest jobs in the process of creating a book.

Dominik, you are truly awesome! 🙂

Monthly update! :)

 

Time for an update!

So, what have I been doing this past month?

First of all, I have published my second poetry book: ‘My Whisperings’! Yay! 🙂

 

Of course I am very excited about that! 🙂

I also received an award for the third place in the Hebban Fantasy Awards 2014 for best Dutch fantasy book of the year!

 

That was so awesome, I can’t even explain it!

Still busy with recording the audio version of my Dutch fantasy novel, which is pretty cool and pretty scary lol. 🙂

 

And I finished rewriting my second fantasy novel. Woohoo! I am so happy! 🙂

 

My goals for next month:

Take a break lol

Make a video for one of my poems. Any suggestions about which poem?

Third place for Drägan Duma – Zij Die Hoort!

A little while ago I told you that my Dutch fantasy novel Drägan Duma – Zij Die Hoort got nominated for the Hebban Fantasy Award for best fantasy novel of 2014.

Yesterday, we had the award ceremony and my book is chosen as third best fantasy novel of 2014! Woohoo!

This, of course, would not have been possible without your support so I would like to thank you all so much. It’s a dream coming true.
