Touches your heart

–

Every once in a while

Someone touches your heart

And you will love this person

Right from the start

 

Your trust and smiles

Others had to gain

You’ll give this person freely

It’s like a malfunction of the brain

 

Someone touched your heart

So you can’t help it

You will give yourself over

Bit by bit…

 

A connection so strong, it can’t be broken

Not by distance, not by time

With some people

You will always have that line

 

People give that connection a name

Call it chemistry, call it love

Call it an act from the heavens above…

 

Fact is, it can’t be explained

Why between some, that feeling is real

Someone just touched your heart…

At least, that’s how I feel…

What I want you to know

All that I

How to give you

A way

Fluffy Bear

The depression is coming again I’m holding back tears

Fighting back fears Because no one cares

People think I’m fine inside

But really I’m dieing

There is nowhere to hide

But they don’t care, they never do I’m there for everyone

But when I call for help Silence is my anwser

The darkness doesn’t help at all I feel so small

No one cares

People don’t  know what I’m going through I’m in this battle alone I wish I had someone to guide me

Save me from this agony

But no one cares I wish there was someone

Who wants me around

And gives my life meaning

A life worth living

Without the world resting

On my shoulders

It’s killing me inside to know

That people see my darkness But they just don’t care…

Insane things

in my life

But

the Craziest

I ever did was falling

Madly

Insanely

Unexpectedly

in Love with you

And I knew

I could never

Should never

Have you as my own

I shouldn’t let you live

Under my skin

In my heart

My soul

I wanted to

kiss you

But I shouldn’t

Should have left you

But I couldn’t

because you are still

Under my skin and

In my heart

Why can’t I just

Forget you

Walk away from you

Do I still

Spoken poetry on request: Half Dutch, half English!

This next poem is one I wrote a while ago. It’s a little poem, half English, half Dutch. Because the words rhyme so lovely! 🙂

I promised one of my friends that I would make a spoken poem of it someday, so you can hear it for yourselves. (It may take me a while Phen, but I remember!) 😉

Misschien denk ik ook wel eens aan jou.

Maybe I also think of you sometimes.

Het zou fijn zijn als ik dat weet.

Who knows, I could dream about you too, maybe…

Ik zal goed luisteren, dan hoor ik het.

I will listen carefully, then I can hear it.

Als je het maar laat weten, het maakt niet uit hoe…

Throwback Thursday: What is Love? Poem

On ‘Throwback Thursdays’ I want to share some older Poems and posts of mine. I hope you will enjoy!

A question most of us have asked at least one time in our lives. What is love? In my opinion, Love isn’t just something between lovers. True love can be the love a parent has for a child, a feeling you can have for a sibling or a good friend. It has so many different shapes.

I thought I should write a poem about what Love is in my eyes…

What’s Love?

–

Rather being hurt

Than be the reason for someone’s pain

It’s not logical

Sometimes even insane

Just the simple truth

Not a comfortable lie

Even if that means

The other one says goodbye

Rather protect

Than run away

Never leave

Always stay

Just being there

May it be day or night

When someone needs you

To make sure they’re alright

Rather open up

Than build a wall

Never letting someone down

Staying loyal

Just making someone smile

Even if they’re stubborn

Care freely

And expect nothing in return

Rather go through hell

Than give up

Even when it seems hopeless

Fighting through and never stop

Just doing little things

To make someone happy

Keeping someone safe in your heart

Now, that is love, if you ask me…

Soft and gentle

They escape my unwilling lips

Like a tiny waterfall

Unstoppable

They fall

One last call

To you

Hesitatingly

Honestly

Words from the heart

The soul

Whisperings

Almost musical

Like a soft summer rain

Little drops of love

Of pain

Uncatchable

They fall

From my trembling lips

Against my will
