I DID IT!!!!!

I completed the NaPoWriMo challenge! 🙂

30 poems in 30 days, wow that was a tough one!

But I had so much fun doing this challenge, I am sure that I will participate next year as well. 🙂

Here we are, the last poem for NaPoWriMo!

My friend Juulz and I thought it was nice to end the way we started one month ago, with a duet!

On day 1 of the challenge we wrote a duet together, you can find it HERE.

And now, on day 30, I have the pleasure to write another duet with one of my best friends who I love like a brother.

Hiding away

You hide away

From the warmth of life

Scared

To feel

You are more at ease

In the shadows of sorrow

Than in the light of life

Freedom

To feel

You want to

But pain is more familiar

Than love ever was

you push me away

Hoping I will give up

On you

Darkness is consuming you

I can feel it

Don’t turn your head

Look at me

I am right here

Waiting

The Mirror

When I look in the mirror, I know

Appearances can be deceiving

From the outside, you can’t see the heart bleeding

Lips smiling, cheeks blushing

Convincing myself that Life is a joyride

When I see my reflection, I wonder

Is it really me I am seeing?

From the outside, you can’t see the cracking

Thoughts crawling, soul craving

Desperately trying to hide

When I look at myself, I flinch

Getting trouble breathing

From the outside, my eyes are revealing

Surely slipping , mind struggling

Because my eyes show what I already know

I am dead inside…
