Let’s pretend

That my tears stop falling

And you come when I’m calling

So my soul can stop bleeding

Just for a moment

That times are still pleasant

And I can feel your embracement

That my heart was never fractured

My calls didn’t stay unanswered

And my hope never got shattered

Let’s pretend

You are still with me

Living free and happily

Enjoying life in all its beauty

Just for a little while

That I am still able to smile

And the nights aren’t hostile

I never had to say goodbye

That it was all a nightmare and a lie

I thought I needed you
Because I believed you cared
A bond unbreakable
Unshakable
Uncompromising loyalty
But in reality
All was untrue

It was all a charade
Masquerade
So disreputable
Acting like we were inseparable
Imperishable
But the truth is
You forsaking me was
inevitable

Words are easy to say
Promises made with confidence
A pact sustainable
Believable
Durable reliability
But in reality
You did betray

~

True intentions are displayed
Dissuade
So incapable
Acting like it’s all erasable
Dispensable
But the truth is
You are the one who is
replaceable

Sometimes I wonder

How we got so close, so fast

And then I ponder

Will it last?

 

A rare connection formed instantly

What is it, I ruminate

That red line between you and me

Is it coincidence or fate?

 

Sometimes I reflect

How our bond got so strong

It’s just perfect

But… for how long?

 

Compatible minds relate immediately

What is it, I speculate

That made us attach so easily

 Is it luck or something we create?

 

Sometimes I think about

How you became my friend

And I try to figure out

Will it end?

 

Sometimes I wonder

How two hearts unite so suddenly…

But then I stop and just appreciate

That red line between you and me

And I realize how amazing it is;

We have souls that resonate
