Paper stays Still…
–
I take my pain
My nightmares and tears
Numbed feelings
I hided for years
–
I reach down my soul
Underneath my skin
Darkest thoughts
I kept within
–
I take the pieces
Of my broken life
A jigsaw puzzle
I try to survive
–
I open my heart
Let my scars bleed out
My secrets and fears
I let them shout
–
I write in blood
The horror from the past
And wonder how long
I will last
–
The words won’t leave my lips
Maybe they never will
I just write them down
Because paper stays still…

Patty, Another ENCHANTING MOMENT to hear your spoken poem, “Paper stays Still”! I think it one of those great mysterious titles from your poetry……the reader/listener waiting to see where & how the title fits in……but I knew, naturally, where you were going with it, naturally. And beautifully Dark! Think the irony here of one of your last lines, “The words won’t leave my lips, the title, & the spoken poetry!!!!!!!!!!! Love your graphic photo; you, your far off gave, & the mist, etc. I hope people tell you often how beautiful you are. Phil
Thank you again so much for your kind words of encouragement my dear friend!
They always light up my day. 🙂
Love & Hugz ❤
