  1. Beautiful. Sad, but beautiful and though I am a first-time visitor here, I’m thinking you overcame. You certainly survived, and that’s a good thing.

  2. Amazingly powerful and heartbreaking. A true testament to the strength and courage you possess my dear friend. You have had this gift of writing inside you from a very young age, and I am sure it came from the same place as the will to survive every adversity you have faced. Wait….not just survive, but conquer may be a better word.

Keep up the good fight Patty. We are warriors in this battle of life. May your sword be sharp and quick and your pen be always at the ready to write away your Demons.

    • Thank you so much my dear friend!
When I read this poem again, first thing that striked me was my stubbornness to be honest.
I had more pride than was good for me I guess. But it helped me to stand tall, so maybe it’s a blessing after all.
Love your last sentence, you should make a quote of that!

      • Thank you Patty. I liked that too and I think I will find a use for it. Maybe as a tribute to all the brave warriors here at WP. If you see it up as a post to others just know that you, my dear friend, were it’s original inspiration. Be well.

  3. You are so right, it brings out more emotion in your native language. Outstanding talent at such a young age, so that was 3-4 years ago, right. )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

  4. Patty, Another not so long comment did not appear……all about appreciating this piece of your young literary work which shows the abuse you have told us about from your youth. Well done at a young age. Phil

  5. Patty, Wow, here it is just as you have told us in the past about your youth at 14 or 15….the abuse & how you reacted & handled it & put it into poetry in your earliest notebook. –like looking at your history…it is! Very special & very good writing right from your start! Phil

    • Thank you Phil!
I completely forgot about this poem, it’s a while ago.
But I saw that I was already proud and very stubborn lol.
O well, it’s what kept me going I guess!
