Visit from Death

–

I can feel it come near

The cold tentacles of Death

And I shiver

As he whispers in my ear

‘I will give you the peace you never had’

–

Willingly, I listen carefully

Intrigued by this promise

To escape, to be finally free

A way out of this darkness

–

Death comes closer

His voice soothing and tempting

‘Come, let’s go together’

Maybe I should take this blessing

–

I reach out and grab his hand

Too late I see his evil grin

Realizing this will be a painful end

Freezing me from within

–

‘Now, say farewell’

He says with a evil hiss

And I just smile

I will let him drag me to hell

Because it can’t be worse than this…

Oh My God Patty. What a terrifyingly stunning work of dark art you have here. From the PERFECT image manipulation, to the gripping poem, to the spoken word narrative. There are really no words to describe how impressive I think this is. I just hope that DEATH does not ever taunt you so in anything other than a fictional sense. Spooky in beautiful words! It makes me think about the people who draw you close with a smile and turn out to be fake, maybe evil to some. It makes me think: What is hell? Saying Farewell or Life?
Am not sure if death always comes with devil? In life we meet devils and Angels. Who will stay with us till the End?
