Two Sides
Two wings
One light, one dark
You can’t tell the difference
Until they spread apart
Two sides of the same coin
Two hearts
One loving, one hating
Both strongly filled with passion
The contradiction is disturbing
Two sides equally divided
Two people
One outgoing, one shy
Together hand in hand
A match never made in heaven
Two minds balancing
Two souls
One pure, one broken
Both fighting for survival
Firmly locked away in hell
Two sides struggling
Two worlds
One realistic, artificial
Clashing against one another
Stuck in a gravitational pull
Two stories never told
Two minds
One clear, one insane
Which one will win?
I think the two sides will always remain
But in this life, nothing is foretold…

Patty & Jullian, Great start for The first day of NaPoWriMo! Are duets acceptable for this event? “Two Sides”…. a wonderful conception, a wonderfully executed poem in words & superb graphic!!! Other ideas & poems can come out of/from this…..such as one person with one black wing & one white wing. And I am sure, Patty, you can take it from there!!!
