I wanted to share something special with you today! 🙂
As most of you might know by now, I am a fan of Edgar Allan Poe.
In Holland we have a band called Omnia that plays Pagan folk music.
Pagan folk is a style of folk music with roots in European traditional music. Stylistically, the subject matter and mood are usually dark and melancholy, with lyrical topics covering themes such as nature, solitude, and, not surprisingly, paganism. Although many pagan folk artists are associated with the neofolk scene, pagan folk music notably lacks the post-industrial ethic present in neofolk, opting for more natural, organic instrumentation and aesthetic.
What I wanted to share with you today is a beautiful recital of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven by Omnia.
