First of all, I want to thank all of you for your sweet comments when I told you all that I had to quit blogging for a little while. They really cheered me up and gave me strength to fight.
With this post, I am back, although maybe not yet blogging every day.
Last month I did my first update for the RCC. I also set some goals for myself for this month.
I have goals to improve myself as a human being and goals for becoming a writer.
Goals last month to improve Myself
- Do another post about myself
- Try to get some help with the PTSD
- Have fun with friends without worrying all the time that they are going to leave me
- Show some more feelings (not just the strong, happy ones)
Well, I managed to accomplish three of the goals. I did another post about myself, you can read it HERE if you didn’t read it yet. I had fun with friends and worked on my trust issues (still need a lot of work there) and I am learning to show my true self more and more.
I haven’t found some help with the PTSD yet, mostly because my life is just insanely busy at the moment, but also because I am not ready yet. I will put this goal on my list for next month.
Goals of writing:
- Keep on writing poetry and poetrics
- Start writing a short story
- Write another duet with someone
- Learn a new poetry style (I really don’t know anything about poetry styles!)
- Start the editing on my second book
Of this goals I achieved three of. I am still writing poetry and poetrics, I did start writing a short story, you can find the first episode HERE and I am busy writing a duet with my dear brother.
I haven’t found the time this month to learn a new poetry style yet, so I will put that on the list for next month. I also didn’t start editing my second book yet, because my co-readers are taking it easy. So I will put that one also on the list for next month.
Altogether, I am a little disappointed that I didn’t managed to complete all of my goals, but I am working on them and I did had a few setbacks, so it’s not all bad.
Goals for next month:
Writing:
- Start with the final editing of my first book. (with help of the publisher, how exiting!)
- Learn a new poetry style (I really don’t know anything about poetry styles!)
- Start the editing on my second book (I hate editing!)
Myself
- Schedule a little ‘me time’
- Try to get some help with the PTSD
- Try not to doubt when someone says that they love me
Lots of Love,
Patty
I think we should. There is a blogger who has a list of poetry forms on her blog. We could try one of the ones she has listed 🙂
Yes, I know! We should choose one. 🙂
You pick this time…I’ll pick next time! 🙂
I will take a look! 🙂
Great 🙂 I’ve been writing a couple of cinquains that I will be posting!
Yes, I want to try those too! 🙂
I am very curious about yours! 🙂
I already posted one of them it’s called “Alive” I look forward to reading one of yours. Do you just want to start with the Cinquain?
I am certainly going to check it out! Yes, I never write using a form or rules. I learned to write a Haiku but that’s all I know really! 🙂
I new to the whole poetry thing, just started this year. I kind of like switching it up between no form and form. It keeps me from getting bored 🙂
Great to hear you’ll be back soon…a those are really great goals.
Thank you Georgia! ❤
Welcome back!!!
Thank you John! 🙂
Glad you’re back! Be good to yourself.
Your absence has been felt. Hoping the magic returns soon.
Thank you Kelly. And it will! Just battling some shadows!
Hugz! ♥
Keep up the good work, pressing forward. We’re cheering you on. 🙂
Thank you so much! And I will! ♥
Wonderful hope you are on top of the world soon
Thank you so much Bee! ♥
Sweet Patty, so happy to see you again! I’ve done a lousy job on mine. In fact, I’m not sure I even remember them. So see, you are doing way better than me 😉
Lol, thank you Pamela! ♥
Welcome back Patty! Great update! One thing that I like to talk about is to worry too much about meeting all your goals. Life happens and sometimes we need breaks in our endeavors this is normal. You are doing so well!
Thank you Bradley! ♥ I know, but it still sucks sometimes when life gets in the way. But I will just smile and continue towards my goals! 🙂
Whoo Hoo your back!!! These sound like really good goals, Patty. I too have issues with PTSD finding good help with it is important. I hope you find someplace in your area that specialaizes in that. I’ve thought of trying some new poetry forms too. Some of them look like great fun. Welcome back…
Thank you my friend! ♥
Maybe we can try out a new poetry form together sometime
