I have been nominated for two more awards this week and I am so happy again! 🙂

Thank you so much, I am so grateful for this award as well! When I started blogging, I never thought my writing would be of any influence on anyone, so this award means a lot to me! Sheri is awesome! You should take a look at her blog sometime! (do it now, you won’t regret it!) 🙂

 I will also want to hand out an award myself. (and I can, because I created this one!) 😉

O, how I love to bend the rules… 🙂

A little while ago I created an award because I wanted to give something back to this wonderful community. I created the Semper Fidelis Award and nominated a couple of my friends who I really consider to be part of my wolf pack here on Word Press. Honestly, I wanted to nominate one more, but that friend just made a post that he was quitting blogging. Well, he hasn’t…

So I want to nominate him now, because I still want to let him know how much I value his humor and friendship!

The Semper Fidelis Award

 I created this award because I wanted to do something special for my friends on WordPress. Semper Fidelis is Latin and means Always Loyal. Loyalty means the world to me. I am very loyal myself, but I’ve got major trust issues as well. And I think trust is very important if you are sharing so much of yourself with people you meet through the internet. So I am working on that! 🙂

Why the wolves? Because wolves have very strong ties with their pack. Like a family or a great group of friends. And I just love them!

This award stands for the loyalty and love between friends.

The Rules:

  • Add the Semper Fidelis Award logo somewhere on your blog.
  • Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  • Nominate 5 bloggers who’s loyalty and friendship you value and you consider being part of your ‘pack of wolves’ on WordPress.

        Again, people like you are GOLD DUST…They come along into your life every now and again and change it.
        This is what you done tonight.
        My Radio Show is important, and I thank you for this.
        But friendship is more important. It is the most important thing we can have, it can be stronger than love. Where I live, with Dawn, I love her, but she is my friend FIRST.

        Wrong, but funny! No, I really can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called a cold hearted bitch, my friend.
        It was a shield I had for a long time to keep people away from me, but it sure as hell worked! 🙂

      • Listen, we all have that, there isn’t a kneecap in the world I won’t remove for the right reason, or if someone hurt one of my kids, you know what I mean.

        But put all that to one side, we are left with “A person” Just us, you, me, whoever is reading this. And we define ourselves not by good or bad things, but how we recover from the good and bad things that happen.
        This is what moments are. I am boring you ALL I guess with me and moments, And this is a blog I am working on “Why I like Moments”

        So I can be a bastard also. It is what we are doing when we are ALIVE AND IN A MOMENT that define us as a person.

      • I agree. That’s the reason I started blogging in the first place. I wanted to find ‘Just me’ again. That’s why I sign my poetry and stuff with ‘Just Patty’. No shield, no mask, just me.
        And you are not boring me, it’s my blog you know! 🙂
        Moments are really all that we have left when we grow old. Just a lot of moments all string together.
        So we have to make every moment count! 🙂

      • You really do get “Moments” and why they are so special the same as I do don’t you…
        To know a TRUE MOMENT means we have been to a bad place in our life, but came through it to know what a “Moment” is. We can’t appreciate love till we have been hurt, we can’t appreciate friendship till a friend has hurt us, we can’t love till we realise we have a heart.
        And I blogged for the very same reasons almost. I wanted to re-discover myself as a disabled guy. I call it the “Invisible Disability” as anyone could spend an hour with me and not fully notice.

        And EVERY moment, for me anyway, is a treasure. Watching my Daughters fight over 1 of 20 red crayons, is a Moment. Being at the Birth of all 4 off my kids was something. But as an older lad, wanting a little girl to know and love and watch grow, and the moment they appeared in our lives, Dawn, Dean, Ryan and I, was the most Amazing moment. But so was winning the League Cup in Soccer with 15 year old kids, my youngest son being one of them.

        Defining moments is easy, keeping them close is the challenge..

        Without the dark there is no light. But it’s the challenge to shine a little light into the shadows of our life. And that’s where friendship and love are for.

        And I can relate to the Invisible Disability as well. I have three cronical condition that no one would ever notice!

        Would love to talk to you some more, but I actually almost really did fall of my chair just now, so I have to get some sleep.
        I will certainly visit your blog tomorrow and talk some more!
        O! And winning the league cup with your own son, that’s just amazing!
